The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is a fully Chartered Institute established through a Legislative Act of the Pakistan Assembly (Sindh Act No. XI of 1995) and is approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, as a degree granting institution. SZABIST has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana and Dubai (UAE). SZABIST is a registered member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), Paris; Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London; Federation of the Universities of Islamic World (FUIW) Rabat; Asia University Federation (AUF), Seoul; and the Association of SAARC Universities (ASU).

ZabSolutions
‍
ZabSolutions, with its partners SZABIST and ZabNet, are dedicated to provide e-solutions to business problems. It
has provided a portal for students of SZABIST called ZabDesk:

‍ZabDesk a multi-user application that functions in a distributed environment. Visual interfaces are provided for the instructors, students and all others who need to interact with the system. The login to different modules of the system is authenticated and secured.

Targeted Audience : Students and Staff

The goal is to provide a solution for "SZABIST" that helps the students to overcome the difficulties which they are facing from few years using ZabDesk.

My Contributions
Research /  Visual Design / Prototyping
‍In order to get information about user needs, I created questions that will provide me with demographic location, need and problems of my targeted audience.

3. How do you contact your instructor if you have any queries?
4. How do you submit your assignments?
5. Is it easy for you to use Zabdesk?

‍After asking the questions to a few people and analyzing the answers, I got the following results and created a user persona.

The Problem we analyzed
‍
‍4000 thousand+ students use ZabDesk, it does not provides accessibility and better experience because of complicated and confusing processes as well as it does not provides the main features which a student portal should have. The Features are listed below which ZabDesk does not have:

1. Option to upload assignments
2. Student cannot see the upcoming event
3. Students cannot contact to instructor in the entire portal
4. Cannot add events
